this is me

That’ll seem like a random picture to you. Pretty, but also pretty random.

To me, it’s not though. To me, it sums up where I am right now. Staring up at that great big sky, wondrous place.

And I am left thinking…

Thinking of how grateful I am. For every single moment of this insane life I have been blessed with.

With waking up to see my daughter’s ginormous grin. To hugging my friends. to random phonecalls that mean the world, but where nothing is said, and everything is understood.

Where I don’t need to explain, and as a result, I don’t need to complain.

What I do need to do though, is soak it all in, love every second.

You make it so easy, all of you. With the smiles and the understanding.

With the un-demands. And with the demands.

I sabotage none of me, and give all of me. It’s easy when I am loved.

This blogpost started out completely differently. I was going to respond to something. But, a little voice within me affirmed that I didn’t need to. All I needed to say was:

Unapologetically Alive. That’s me. I am solidly footed in gratitude.
