A few weeks ago, I blogged about #rememberme. The culmination of this campaign was an event, held in Durban over the weekend.
Put together by Spiga D’Oro and a bunch of clever sponsors, the #rememberme event commemorated World Day of Remembrance. World Day of Remembrance is a day dedicated to remembering all those killed and injured in road crashes around the world, together with their families, the emergency services and all others affected or involved in the aftermath.
I pulled rank on GlossaryLauren and told her to come with me. Thankfully, the Durban rain held off for the day and we got to enjoy some sweet bands, like these guys.
I also got to meet an awesome tweep, hang out with friends and did a little present shopping at the market.
I hope they keep holding these events, every year. Road accidents are my silent fear, and dudes…just don’t drink and drive. It’s not cool, worth it or necessary.
