If you know anything about me, you’ll know that I don’t make friends easily. I don’t do well with new people and I really battle to make friends…and by that, I mean…real friends.
So when Shannon and I found each other online, I was stoked. Here was a mum who was unashamedly brave about her parenting, her life and her beliefs. We soon figured out that we live ridiculously close to each other.
When I fell ill, shortly after we met online, she surprised us with get-better cupcakes. I met Lily and was immediately smitten. She saw me at my worst.
From then developed a warm relationship, based on mutual respect (I respect the heck out of this mama!) and laughter. We talk, almost daily, and I’m so thankful for her presence in my life. When my first printed article came out, she hunted down the magazine.
