monitor tanning musing

Posted on September 13, 2008

So, I’m sitting here listening to the house, waiting on a password. Yes, I’m checking out work again on a Saturday night and simultaneously privy to some beautiful writing by a dear friend of mine.

I am entirely honoured that someone feels comfortable and secure enough with me that they will share their precious writing. To quote Crowded House, the “cradle” she has chosen to explore something is “soft and warm”. I am so, so proud of her for doing this, for more reasons than just the writing of it.

I am reminded daily that I have good friends. Funny, inspiring, not afraid to be silly with meaning and every perspective on life that they give is a gift. I may not see as much of them as I wish – life being the adulthood-forcer it is, with deadlines and meetings and the need to sleep everpresent, but every time, without fail, i am reminded that the world is not an entirely bad place because, their are some utterly beautiful people in it.

I am a blessed being, whose tummy is full of chocolate and whose heart is full of gratitude.

If you have something to say, say it to me now.

Muchos smiles.
